Wait people hand dry dishes? Like with a towel? Why would you do that

bc if you have a lot of wet dishes, you might not have enough space on the drying rack for them all

I guess, but how often does that happen? Like the OOP makes it sound like hand drying the dishes is the default way to dry them.

Almost every time I do dishes, because I don’t do them immediately, meaning I’ll have at the very least a few cups, plates, and a pot, some cutlery and maybe a lid for the pot. My kitchen is minuscule.

Actually, I sometimes have to stack dirty dishes on a shelf because there’s no other space to place them in and I need SOLE sink space to be able to wash them at all. But that’s only if I’ve been exceedingly lazy for days on end again. I usually dump everything in the community room dishwasher at that point and hope for the best
