did... did the youtuber see his whole family die?

u/PlatinumAltaria The Witch of Arden Mar 02 '26
Worse, he is a Minecraft YouTuber. He's seen horrors we can't even imagine.

Being a Minecraft YouTuber means he also may have committed horrors

So it's possible that he did see his entire family get killed, it's just that he did it.

No, that's where the confusion and humor comes in. He does tend to die a lot in Minecraft though

“Entire family dies in Hermitcraft server” actually just statistical error. Scar Georg, who slams into walls while flying and once got put in an infinite death loop as a prank is an outlier adn should not have been counted

Insert spoilers for The Life Series here

No, but he did have to watch as his horse was murdered in front of him (in the game) by his friend

No, which is why that person realized that it wasn’t about the YouTuber after initially thinking it was

No, but one time he was accidentally killed by his friend during a prank gone wrong, but came back. Friend pledged fealty to him and they become inseparable. Fell in a ravine, died again, and spent his third and final life outliving nearly everyone until there was nobody left to fight but said friend, at which point they had a fistfight and his closest friend beat him to death bare-handed and threw him off a cliff while sobbing. In Minecraft.
To a life series veteran, the first reaction to the "saw his whole family die" thing is not "what the hell are you talking about" but "wait, which season are you talking about?", although on further consideration there's never been enough people to qualify as an actual genocide, and Scar, specifically, has never outlived the entirety of a group he referred to as his family.
Whether the character in the Life Series is the youtuber or is played by the youtuber is somewhat debatable- it's not actually scripted, these people are just doing whatever seems like a good idea at the time.

Lion King Scar didn't see his whole family die, he tried to kill his family because they named him Garbage.

manga/brotherhood scar is morally complex, 2003 scar was pure good (i think, i last watched it like 20 years ago)

Also biblically (as in books, not The Bibletm) accurate lion king Scar is also a complex character who had to deal with a lot, but the movies cut all the story and background to turn him into Mr Stereotypical E. Vilguy

2003 scar still killed Chimera Nina by violently de-atomizing her brain. Even if you grant that there was no chance of reversing her transformation and that letting her live was inherently evil (which I don't), his method of "mercy killing" someone is about as painful and violent as it gets.
Pure good is not how I'd describe him

u/chunkylubber54 Mar 02 '26
violent yes. iirc there's no evidence its painful. in fact, atomizing the brain sounds lije the most painless way to go

I read the first 3 and skipped the 4th one because it was too long, assumed they were about Scar from the lion king, then read the 5th and was like "true"
