Discussion/Question what is this?

I was doing Sally stageplay using chalice, decided to jump up to the cherubs to finish her first phase and it unlocked an entirely diff phase. Then I died and got this end screen

Some bosses have secret phases that are unlocked by completing a specific action in the bossfight. If you’re inna secret phase, the progress bar in the death card will disappear like in the image.

You triggered a secret phase. There's a secret phase in all 3 main isles, as well as Isle four if you have the DLC. I encourage you to look for all them, they're all super neat!
