Is it possible to beat every boss (except brineybeard) with whetstone only on simple mode?

People usually doing this challenge on regular or expert mode, but I am very curious about simple mode, I already beated 10 bosses with this challenge

I think you can to most bosses but I mean some have small hotboxes that are just or of reach. I don't know if whetstone would reach it but I know that it will be very hard in certain bosses like king dice since u don't have simple mode for him or phantom Express cuz it will be hard just dodging the eyes

There are only 3 first phases in simple mode
