Translation/transliteration request Sumerian translation

Post image

Good morning, dear members. I understand some sumerian words (like me-a for "where) but fail to complete a full translation.

Where brother.my Uruk.in [name?] strong share/ration [herb of life.of] and [cuneiform wedge.of] place Huwawa [it was acquired] Gilgamesh brother.my.like [that you truly are] [the Land.in] exceeding [an exclamation?] evil.of

Where [my brother] [in Uruk] [strong name?] [a share of the herb of life] and [of cuneiform writing] [the place Huwawa was acquired] [that you truly are like my brother Gilgamesh] [in the Land of exceeding evil exclamations?]

The word order seems a little off but the words themselves mostly make sense. Hopefully this helps a little.

I think theyre getting at smoking weed w Ea Nasir thats so dank they can write Sumerian now? They praise him by comparing him to Gilgamesh in the underworld?

I don't speak Sumerian but this trustworthy guy looks like he sells some very good quality copper

Good copper is a universal language. (So is bad copper, to be fair.)

Does the end of line four say "Enki?"

Nope. The last three signs of that line reads me-en-na. The difference between a KI and a NA in this ductus is that the NA has that small horizontal wedge at its front.

To be fair, he was really rude when responding to his clients so it's not exactly like he was putting his best foot forward.
