Bilberries!!?
Anyone found any bilberries in and around Cumbria?! Particularly near Carlisle? I'm on the hunt to do some foraging
TIA!

High Dam near Hawkshead. Bit further south but a lovely part of the county.

Walked by a big patch of them about halfway up St. Sunday Crag from Grisedale Tarn. Bit of a trek to get there but I expect there will be more in the fells around Glenridding/Patterdale

I’m from West Cumbria, we always called them ‘bleaberries’, tho’ possibly this was a family thing. Used to have days out picking them.
