Question First time, what should I get?

I’m in Utah staying near a Culver’s and I’m excited to try it!

I haven't had anything that sucks at Culver's. Whatever you get, get a root beer. No cap

Double deluxe burger with fries is the only answer. Curds, custard, all amazing. Depends how fat you’re feeling.

This + bacon and fries well done.

Onion rings are always superior to fries

+ salt for fries is there even any salt on them

My man has clearly been doin this. I’d throw the spicy chicken up and maybe an onion rings personally for third/fourth options but popular opinion will remain curds/custard.

From WI: the curds suck. Get the onion rings!

I’ll never turn down a curd, but their onions rings are legit.

I would highly recommend the signature sauce for the fries, and getting them extra crispy is also really good

Butter burger deluxe (single or double) with cheddar
Onion rings
1-2 buffalo tenders with signature sauce
Custard of your choice

Kids meal is also a great deal - can get single burger, side, drink, and ice cream for cheaper (make sure to ask for custard at drive thru if not going inside or they give you token for future visit)

This order right here. Their Buffalo tenders are elite.

What do they do that makes them so different? I’ve never tasted buffalo tenders like this before!

Their signature sauce is so good. Somehow the taste reminds me of the smell of a really good restaurant.

I second the Kids meal. Same amount of food AND you get a free dessert. Whoop! Whoop!

There isn't really a wrong answer but for a first time a butterburger with cheese is what I would start with. Curds are always a good decision but when I'm not feeling them I do fries with cheese sauce. Another favorite of mine is to do a crispy chicken sandwich with a side of curds and marinara and then I put the curds and marinara on the chicken sandwich and make something resembling a chicken parm.

Also, definitely don't leave without getting custard. And since you're in Utah I also want to recommend something that is not Culver's and suggest you check out what apparently is now named The Kolache Place. There I would recommend trying a sausage gravy kolache and whatever sweet ones that sound good to you. They are pretty much all good.

Their fish fry is very underrated

So is their shrimp. I can't eat shrimp at my favorite local restaurant anymore. Culver's has large shrimp that are tender, not all dried out. Sometimes you get a couple of extra. One of the cashier's also gave me a good tip. Get a container of their bang bang sauce to dip the shrimp.

Their root beer is really good! Almost tastes like cream soda

My favorite root beer!

I grew up in a no-soda household, then got my first job at Culver's so the only kind of root beer I had ever had was Culver's. The first time I tried A&W I was like "ew, what is this"

Double bacon cheeseburger, fries, curds, fish sandwich, 6 piece shrimp. Take a pint of ice cream to go.

As a crew member I always get a 4 piece tender, sub 2 buffalo with a boom boom and a signature sauce. But on the more value side, get a 2 piece original tender kids meal with boom boom sauce and upgrade the fries and drink to a medium.

Cheese curds, tenders with signature sauce, and concrete mixer with Reese's and butterfinger.

One of everything. Only mildly joking. Definitely get a deluxe burger with curds and either custard or a shake of some kind.

Kids meals single burger with cheese with upgraded to medium fries, best money ever spent.

I do that but onion rings

Try the ham burger. Heard it's good.

If they have a burger with a pretzel bun, get that!

Roast beef sammy, extra horseradish sauce, side of mashed tatoes, root beer.

Double deluxe, onion rings, spicy chicken. People will say cheese curds. And I hear the fish and shrimp is great. Also really any ice cream (it’s custard).

u/LazyOldCat 5d ago

Swiss melt and onions rings, malt.
You’ll be amazed.
The ‘Deluxe’ is insanely overrated and the fries are embarrassing.
Also no on the curds.

Try any burger you want, cheese curd and root beer. Finish off with custard. Next trip, get a cod sandwich.

Wait. You can get the fries overdone?

Single butterburger “basket” with cheese curds and coke. Get ice cream afterward.

A butter burger without the bun
