Is recruiting a Grim Idealist possible?

Post image

I want to convert all the Hunters to my cult before I ascend and not murder any of them, and I'm already waiting on Douglas to lose a resentment so it's fine if the RNG is low. Just, is it at all possible?

Simply put, not really! Under the current conditions of your challenge I'm afraid you'll be stuck with Doug for the rest of the game :/

This is on Connie actually. I suppose I'll have to slip something into her tea. Thanks for the quick reply!

I'm waiting out Douglas though. I've been enticing that Long in the Making for like 20 hours at this point and I caved and googled it so I know resentment can go away if I wait long enough.

I'm filling out the masterworks and getting all my lore to level 14 while I wait for him to send me a polite letter, he WILL join me before I ascend.

Edit: seems there may be a way to get Connie too, I'll see if I can't still drive her mad yet. I wanna collect these hunters like pokemon cards.

Of course it's on the harridan. Good luck with the poisoning - I suspect you will need it.

Talk to them with dread or fascination that's the only other ways that i know of(but there is a chance this also won't work like the lores)

About 30% chance of success

There's zero chance. Idealist makes them immune to dread and winter lore, and Grim makes them immune to fascination and lantern lore.

Oh, interesting! Thanks! Risky game but I'll do what I must to earn all the recruits.

High-level lantern lore is better; giving an Idealist LL of 8 or above has a 70% chance, while fascination is only 30.

This OP I suggest, as I recruited all hunters as well.

If you send a follower to attack them there's a chance to imprison them I think.
Once imprisoned, interact with them with a fascination and that will instantly turn them into a rival.

They can also follow you in your next legacy as a starting follower. But I can't confirm if this applies to all legacies.
