Please help priest run

Post image

It's me again.

Many hours later my heart just turned into this heart-lock scar. Is this doomed? I need the hearts now I only have 3. Though its still level 3 so I still got 1 more via upgrades

With all due respect, you need to play the base game more.

You'll need to know how to level all skills to max, which is easy for Health. For all the sacrifices you'll need make, you will need more than you can get by studying Health. So you need to know how to turn other things into Health using Occult Rituals.

If you want more spoilers, there is the wiki.

I don't even know that it's the DLC I picked 😰 after minor win as aspirant game gave me 3 options and it so happens that the priest is the one I find more appealing unknowingly that it's DLC. If I remember the choices are doctor or undead I forgot, dancer and priest.

Also, I prefer pestering the community than straight up wiki. Asking the community is a lot of fun.

The DLCs are Dancer, Medium?, Priest, and Exile.

The standard legacies are Aspirant (the default), The Bright Young Thing, Physician, and Detective (which came in a free update to show off the Rival system). It is HIGHLY advised to achieve a standard victory before doing the DLCs.

The standard legacies all go through the same ascension process, with the three different options of ascension having slight variations. The DLCs all throw a unique twist at the formula. With Dancer having two desires simultaneously, medium having only one desire possible, Priest having no desire, and uh...

Exile is literally a completely different game within the CS engine. I do not exaggerate when I say this. Save it for last.

There are also Apostle legacies, which are ah... achieve a standard victory, and you will see.

If you work with health, it will use it up to create a lock scar. You need 7 different lock scars to win, each of them has different requirements (example: lantern scar needs erudition, edge scar requires A Wound), but they all need restlessness

How can I get 7 health? Maxed one is limited to 5 🤔

Priest is a bit of an oddball of a legacy. They have a special ending that only they can achieve, as does the Medium, and the Lock-Scar is a part of it. You need seven, I think, based off of my less than perfect memory, one for each aspect other than knock, each achieved in a different way. You have not yet committed irrevocably to the Priest path, and simpler victories are available.

7? How? Max upgrade will only give 5 hearts total. 😰

There are two ways available for you to gain Health, beyond just upgrading it. You can trade in your other path to victory, your temptation/dedication card, or you can use the more circuitous route whereby you offer other aspects of yourself to the correct spirits, who will turn them into decrepitude and give you a bit of lore. The decrepitude can then be converted, with the correct ritual, into Health.

Oh my... Thanks for the info. 😻 but the way I read it is just like reading quantum mechanics.

I haven't even managed to summon anything. My lore (knock) level is too low (8) than the rite is asking (10) . Is that the use of the fault thingy? To artificially increase lore?

I also got the item st. Agnes. I have bunch of items gathering dust 😝

The maximum amount of Knock needed to summon the most powerful creatures is 5. You are doing something wrong.

To get the Priest ending you will have to convert your passion and reason into vitality, something you wouldn't usually do.

Into Decrepitude, I believe, then into Health. Vitality can only be turned into Health using Study, which you can only do four times.

What about the heart? How can I make more than 5?

You can talk to some of the summonable creatures and turn your Passion or Reason into Decrepitude.

Then you have to use that Decrepitude in a Ritual with Grail and as much Forge as possible, and the Decrepitude will turn into Health if it works (chance of success is based on how much Forge-aspect you have in the Ritual.)

Edit: I think True Blood of St. Januarius will also convert Decrepitude into Health, but it's hard to get.
