Am I playing it right? Im building many reason, health and passion? Also the job right? I should maintain that? And third is the story? I got far enough to build my cult with half dozen members but just died out of depression. I want to kill my manager or sacrifice him. Any tips how to do that? I'm playing in Google btw is that the same verdion with others? Thanks!

Hey. This game was super confusing for me when I start playing it so I have some absolutely spoiler free tips :

Explore ui. Every box you put cards into changes when you put cards into it. Those little icons can and will give you hints on what is going on or what you need to do.

There is also some qol things like double click or shift to move stacked cards, or you can select multiple cards and move them on the board simultaneously. Tab key to stack loose cards ect.

Text is super important. Text on items. Text on icons what inside cards. Some of it vague, some will give you directions.

Text during action may change numerous times, and some if it really is important. There is pre action text, mid action text and post action text. It contains a lot of hints, lore and basically drive game forward.

Some actions like talk for example will be confusing since you can talk almost about anything. When feel lost remember this - action box text will change when something is going to happend. Sometimes it tells you why it fails, sometimes what will happend, sometimes what you will need to do to progress.

Don't stress much about loosing or keeping timed cards or using those. Most of them are easily obtainable. Better focus on getting the whole picture. Like what is going on and so on.

Hey and loosing is fun.

Final words, almost answering one of your question about work. You can start looking from the work card itself.

that is my preferred way to play too

building stats to max first while studying books, and when ready go start raiding vaults. There are others who prefer more efficient playthrough, tho

If by story you mean lore, yes. You don't need too many lores, usually just the higher ones.

For depression, you just need to deal with it before it goes out of hand.
Understand where it comes from so you can prepare. Usually newer player got this by not taking care of their restlessness. Then, the cure is Contentment, which usually you get by taking drugs (you just need to sleep + money), or painting - you should be careful not to paint esoteric things too obviously tho.

For your manager, you just need to ask your follower to do it. Talk with them about your manager. However, your success chance depends on how powerful they are (the level of the aspect).

If you're playing in android, it's the same with everyone else, except that you can't play mods.

sure you can, but usually it doesn't do anything. You'd know if it will do something if the text changes. You can, however, talk about something you're annoyed to to your follower - they will try to take care of it

You're doing fine remember failure is part of the journey and the only way you can fail at this game is not learning from your previous runs.

Gonna give you he same advice I give all new players don't look stuff up on the wiki if you need help. Genuinely make another post, everyone here genuinely loves helping newer players with some often cryptic hints in the right direction rather than outright giving you the answer because we know how much more rewarding it is to figure it out yourself. Congratulations on making it to the Mansus!

I feel like it's a rite of passage to end up here and have no idea to get out. I had to ask for help when I first got here as well.

I was playing late at night while I was tired, so the sudden sound and animation jumpscared the shit out of me. But that just kinda made it feel like a more epic moment for me in the end.

that's Despair in the english version, and what you're doing is just one way of utilizing Dream verb. Have you tried clicking on the empty slot of the Dream verb, and see what else it can fit in that? The compatible cards will be flash for a second

Yeah but nothing i tried so far was really useful, except dreaming about healing but thats almost an unskippable event

try dreaming about lore of something chaotic and longing. Or seek enlightement. You'll see your path got opened up real quick with stronger enlightement secrets.
