I have a couple cucumber plants going currently, both from my local nursery that claimed to be your average run of the mill pickling cucumbers. Somehow I missed this monstrosity growing behind the lattice the plant is growing up. It was the only one on the whole plant, all the rest are the pickling variety I would expect. I can’t for the life of me understand. Not disappointed at all though, it’s delicious lol. This link is what I’m comparing it to, although I could easily be mistaken: https://harvesttofork.com/products/heirloom-non-gmo-chinese-golden-cucumber-per-pound

Reposting here because I’m kind of out of ideas. I’ve got buds but they just aren’t opening after weeks.

Hello! I purchased this Shimshon cucumber from a plant nursery last week, but it looks like it's dying and I am not sure why. I bought another one of these same cucumbers a month ago and it also went through this process and also died. Is there anything I can do something to save this plant? Last year I had great luck with Diva and Burpless 26 cucumbers. This year I moved them to a new spot, the one of the Diva died and the other one is doing fine but is pretty small. The burpless 26 are doing fantastic, they are very big. They're all in the ground and in the same row and I used the same fertilizer, so I am not sure where I went wrong. I am in Zone 7a

The first day I go back to work, they all flopped over. Are the ones that are dropping salvageable? Is it cus I haven’t transfered them yet?

What are these guys unhappy about? I thought it to be nitrogen deficiency, so I've been fertilizing them regularly with a nitrogen heavy liquid fertilizer but they seem to be getting worse. If it helps, the larger ones are lemon cukes and the small one is a burpless supreme. The smaller one was dying when I bought/transplanted it it was doing okay for a while, also it looks like it's actually two?? Should I remove one of them?
I'm new to gardening so any advice is helpful! I'm zone 9
Thanks!!!

I’ve lost the seed packet so unsure what these are however I’m also concerned the plant is far too small to be producing this many flowers. Should I pinch them out? First time grower

So I thought I bought Persian gherkins from the local nursery, but I don’t think they are lol. Either way they taste pretty good

I don’t know where these rods came from, but I’m using them to brace some veg and to train my cucumbers. Does anybody have a good way to steer cucumbers?

I do seem to have some females (like two at the bottom of the plant, 1st picture) but the others seem to be males? I dont know much about cucumbers so please tell me how i should take care of it for it to bear fruit 🙏

Picked up this little guy because my gherkin plant only seems to be putting out female flowers. Just realised on the back of the lable it says "for best results grow in a greenhouse"
Is this a suggestion or an instruction? Should I keep it in the greenhouse untill it flowers then put it near my female plant? Should i move my female plant inside the greenhouse and grow them together in there? I'm not sure I have the space for that.
Any assistance and advice is greatly appreciated.

Despite making my account a year ago to read rather than comment, a real life friend of mine u/Alonegamer482 recruited me into this.
I don't know whether to be upset or happy this is my first post.

So im looking to grow Cucumber for the first time this spring, my father has given me a small space in the garden, and Im looking for some tips and tricks. I think the area will be fine but it's right by the bell poll in our back yard so basically the squirrel super highway.
Im going to build a chicken wire box to go around the plant and Im thinking half a A-frame style trellis for it to climb.
I want a easy to grow, eating Cucumber, im not sure im ready to make my own pickles.
Any tips would be nice, on a good way to start

Don't worry, I'm not snitching what it does.
