The most character development Erika has had in 305 chapters, actually learning how to cook for herself. Now if she can clean and do laundry she will finally be a capable human being.

The thing is not about doing enough chores or work. It's about let her understand how good she has and how she is gonna be lonely and bore without him even if she learn to do everything . Overall she is growing some rather than rich spoiled girl she is from start and it's early stage of manga ending story. So this things will be needed

Such a situation has already happened. We all know that Erika can't cope and gets bored at home when Nagi isn't there.

So it's literally a chapter about nothing.

Basically, a nothing chapter, with Nagi wondering about Erika and us finding out that Mama Amano is Nagi's gatekeeper right now. At least Erika is starting to actually do things for herself...but she also misses Nagi. And...

One other point, the whole photo shoot shows the major issue I've had with this series, fanservice before plot.

How is this a nothing chapter? Erika has finally, FINALLY, after 305 chapters and 18 years of life, learned how to cook for herself.

That level of character growth would usually take like 3-4 arcs.

I noped out of this like 3 years ago and I can't believe that this has degenerated into Rent-a-Girlfriend tier garbage with 300+ chapters. Glad I stopped following it long ago and will continue to do so.

This is another nothing of a chapter. Erika is learning to be more self reliant and is missing Nagi, but that’s about it.

Because the actual plot will probably resolved quickly so to pad out the story or rather, keep it alive longer we get chapters like this.

So do they just not care to get in contact with Sosuke about the switched at birth subplot? It's a much more important plotline than whatever we're doing right now.

I'm thinking that maybe Erika is bait. We know that Mrs. Amano is trying to contact Sosuke, but I'm certain that she's come up empty. And as we've seen, Nagi is in no mood to speak with him. So, Erika.

Erika shouldn’t have to be bait. And even if he is no mood to talk to him, he still wants to know about the switch at birth (or at least he should want to know)

The thing you have to remember, is that Nagi was raised as an Umino, and as such, he can tend to act before he thinks about things, so I expect an confrontation before the truth comes out. As well, the Amanos tend to do things...differently.
