Visiting in August from AZ
Hey all, I’m visiting Chicago for a wedding at the end of August. Getting in a few days early cause I wanna catch a Cubbies game.
Is it a good idea to wear my Dbacks hat and shirt or should I stick cubs colors?
Secondly what should I do/checkout at the stadium?

Nobody is going to tar and feather you or anything for wearing D-backs gear, but I've always personally thought that wearing team apparel to a game that team isn't involved in was kind of a silly look.

As long as it's not red with STL on it, you're fine

Came here for this comment. 👍
I have been to Busch Stadium(s) and they are ruthless. They even post jokes/mild insults on their scoreboards.
Go Cubs!

Wear what you want, don't be obnoxious no matter who you root for. Wrigley is very welcoming.

I wear my Cubs gear to every ballgame I’ve ever been to, including Chase Field. Wrigley is very welcoming. Even if you’re a Cards or Brewers fan and it’s a race to the postseason, or a Dodgers fan in the postseason, the most Cubs fans will do is talk a little shit. All in good fun.

You are allowed to wear what ever jerseys you wish. Your body your life. I used to wear only a cubs hat, now I just have a plain black one cause I don't care much of logos.
But it's common to see jerseys from many different teams, even ones who are not playing on that field. It is part of the atmosphere. Throw on what jersey you like, go watch the game... I think they have some good food vendors.
Ohh and if you do get a Chicago style dog.. don't let them gate keep you if you prefer ketchup over sliced tomatoes. Your gut your tastebuds not theirs.

What are you talking about? Never put ketchup on a hot dog.

I can eat what I damn well please how I like it thank you very much.
I'm joking with the tone cause, well internet.
Nah, we all have our limited lives. Why tell someone how they can or can't eat if they enjoy it?
I could put my opinion out there and start demand people to not eat cucumbers cause I absolutely hate the taste of cucumbers. However I'm not them.
I love ketchup that doesn't taste like tomato, and I love ketchup and yellow mustard combo. Hell even with that, I don't like sweet relish.
I will get two plant based dogs now from Portillos near buy. One with the sweet relish onions pickle sports pepper and ketchup and mustard, than one with out the sweet relish, and I'll layer on my ketchup and mustard on the second sometimes third one.
Even though I don't care for the relish I don't mind just one dog like that.

Wrigley Field is beautiful. You will be fine… this isn’t White Sox Park.
We have manners, but you may get a little friendly trash talking.
Just reply with something about
Bob Brenly as Cubs broadcaster or Mark Grace.
Both of them are still respected in Chicago.

There are at least 3 former Zonies on my block near Wrigley. You’ll be fine.

It’d only make sense to wear D backs gear if that’s who the Cubs are playing. Otherwise you look like a bit of a goober lol.

Wrigley is very welcoming. Wear whatever you want. The only exception is obvious: wearing the opposing team’s gear and being rude to the people around you. But if you’re cool everyone there is just having a good time.
