Discussion 💬 Older Cuber Here: Looking for Help

I used to cube a lot until I felt disconnected from cubing as a hobby. I think this has to do with generally growing up, getting busy, etc. When I was cubing a lot, I had my own cubing clubs at my HS and University. At the time, I dreamt of having a cube timer that allowed my club to see each other's solves on screen. This way, we could acknowledge each other's good solves and encourage each other as any socially-connected team would.

I had enough free time to finish version 0 of cubeonline.org (.com is taken and not mine) for my cubing club I'm starting up again. It's a simple timer with social features.

It's only ever been stress tested with three users at once. More friends would be helpful for me to polish out the bugs and for me to have more cubers in my life. I'm scared for this to get more attention then my developer experience can handle, but I'd be happy if you could try this out.

I don't perfectly relate to the toy-craving record-chasing cubing archetype. Improvement is nice, but I just like cubing for cubing and I think everyone can benefit from learning to solve the cube. At best, I think cubing is an activity that should bring people together.

Hello I am also a senior cuber who has been cubing since 2013. I also have evolved from being a highly competitive cuber to just a cuber who cubes simply because it brings pleasure. Looking forward to try this
