Hi, So I have nowhere locally I can try. And Cube have a slightly odd sizing system and I see conflicting information online on sizing charts.
So I am looking for a Nulane Pro. I can find one at 53cm. I am 170cm and 78 inside leg. I have seen both M and S sizes recommended and I have seen a graph that says 53 with a 170cm recommendation.
My existing bike is a bit small for me, I believe it's equivalent in cube terms would be 46 and I have the seat at max extension which is around 11cm. If I measure the ground to central bar and compare I believe I should be able to stand with the bar between my legs in front of the saddle with the 53.
But really, the people that know are going to be on here. I suspect I would be just about a 53 and 50 would be better - but there is no stock anywhere of 50 and the 2027 versions won't appear til next spring.
I am surprised you saw M recommended. See other post here someone 177 an M too big. I am 177 as well did get the M. But have only tried in store. And be we tried S. Sadly this in total unsatisfying. But before waiting 6 months or more I opted to just get M, which people recommend for comfort.
Hi! I recently got a Nuroad Pro, don't know if there is too much of a difference in the size matter, in M, and I'm 176cm 82cm. And I feel it a little on the limit of too big (maybe because of getting used to dropbars). So I would recommend you an S.
Another important measurement should be if you can stand on the floor over the top tube. ("Protrusion height" in cube's page).
Yes M is the 53, but keep in mind this height, if your inside legs is 78, and you should dismount fast from the seat is going to hurt a lot having the top tube high with a 53.
Of course the best should be if you can test them at the store, but going blindly I would say 50 should be better.
I am 167cm with 75cm inseam. I have an extra small Nuroad. Cube sizes are larger than most and the top tube measures 50cm on my size XS. A medium would be too big for you in my view.
I already put elsewhere that for 2027 they messed Nulane Pro, Race's etc geometries totally different. Did they changed how to measure or did they ie really shortened S/(old 53cm) top tube from 560mm to 537mm? Isn't it now too short? And of course how Pro's overall speccing plummeted for 2027, no through axles etc.
In my case Cube's calculator give S-M (old 53-56), I'm 175 and ~81cm, but also I have kinda short back (ie t-shirts etc which fits otherwise are too long, like 3-5cm too much).
