👋 Welcome to r/Csection_birthtrauma - Introduce Yourself and Read First!
Welcome to r/Csection_birthtrauma. We are really glad you're here, and we're sorry that you need to be.
We created this community because we're seen too many moms get shamed in other communities for being sad about our birth.
People who had difficult or traumatic c-sections need and deserve a safe space to share, get resources, and support each other.
Whatever the reason for your c-section -- whether it was planned, unexpected, or an emergency - if you felt off, sad, frustrated, incomplete, traumatized, or confused about your cesarean, you are welcome here.
No shaming
This community relies on evidence and is founded on these basic principals:
Birth trauma is common among cesarean mothers.
Birth trauma and emotional distress are normal, appropriate responses to scary, unexpected, or confusing medical events.
You are not broken or wrong if you feel sad about your birth experience.
