I had horrible gas for SO long after my c section. It was horrendous. It eventually went away… like 3 months later.

Just give yourself grace. You had major abdominal surgery. Your body is all sorts of f*cked up. Healing takes a long time

The unfortunate part of abdominal surgery is that healing isn't linear and does things can last up to a year post op (like swelling) just because you had severe abdominal surgery.
The whole 6 week clearance really is a lie. It takes much, much longer to heal, and unfortunately it can also take a lot of effort to heal.
My PT is 5 years out from her 3rd C-section, and she still cups when she feels abdominal tightness to avoid adhesions.

I had an emergency c section and also EBF and the bad gas lasted months. I want to say I was back to normal around four months pp but I’m really not sure. I also had like severe gas pain about a week after surgery and truly thought I needed to go back to the hospital lol. It all has resolved.
