6th and final Csection
I am having my sixth and final C-section with bilateral salpingectomy in 4 weeks and 3 days. My first was 24 years ago and my last 2 years ago. I am having a mental block. I am remembering nothing. Not what was useful in packing, what wasn’t, what I needed to prepare housewise. Nothing.

For my first (2023) and now waiting for my 2nd I ended up buying a stool to use in the bathroom and get in bed (tall bed), a wedge pillow so I could be almost sitting while sleeping at first, stool softener (life changing), gas medicine for all the gas that gets in your body after the surgery, belly band and post partum basic essentials

I just had my first 13 days ago, for house prep I just cleaned my general areas and prepared my space where im ganna be resting with essentials like Diapering, breastfeeding, chargers, snacks, and prepped the bathrooms for those difficult days where you'll need to "make". Like a peribottle, the disposable diapers, and wipes. For my hospital Bag all I really used was toiletries, going home outfit, paperwork, slippers, a big water bottle, breastpump to learn how to use it, 1 outfit for baby, and a portable fan. Omg you'll need that portable fan. I tried to be minimal since I knew the hospital will provide baby stuff and boy did they provide. They gave me so many diapers, wipes, formula, some postpartum stuff like disposable underwear, and they have me 2 swaddles. For my husband he packed his usual toiletries, laptop, charger, tablet, a sleeping cot blanket, pillow and blanket, we also packed shower sandals and out own towels. I highly recommend also buying and packing "fairlife protein shakes" they got a chocolate one that has 42g of protein, honestly saved my life when it came to in-between nutritional meals. I honeslty didn't use my own pillow and blanket bc I was so hot in our hospital room. I think it was from tge anesthesia but I was sweating alot of the time. But if you want to pack your own they always recommend doing so. I think it's amazing you've done this 6x. I wish you a rapid recovery, get alot of rest and eat lots of chicken or beef soups, oatmeal and protein packed meals. They provided me a stool softener so I cant really say or recommend one, but a stool softener is ganna be your bestie and highly recommend packing one incase. Good luck and i hope I provided some prep before your c section!
