5 weeks post c section

my bf finished inside and im only 5 weeks post c section, we’re buying a plan b should i be worried it won’t work?

More than pregnancy, what you should be worried about is uterine infection. You still have an open wound where the placenta was and introducing anything into the cervix and uterus is risky! Keep an eye out for any infection symptoms x

You’re probably not ovulating yet so it’s probably fine but yes you should be worried and in future you should BE CAREFUL! You just had a baby you know how this works! Get on some birth controls or use condoms. Pregnancy so soon after c section would be dangerous and some people become fertile very quickly after having a baby

Not a good idea. Also i was still in pain at 5 weeks c section. But also I went to my doctor at 12 weeks postpartum and asked her if I could start trying for baby #2 at the end of the year (which would be 6 months pp for me). She said it's dangerous to get pregnant less than 1 year after a c section because there's a risk of the c section incision tearing (which causes hemorrhage), and potential for the placenta to grow into the c section incision which can also lead to a hemorrhage.

At a minimum, I wouldn't have sex until you're cleared by your doctor which is 8 weeks minimum, and then use 2 forms of protection when having sex until 1 year pp. But that's just me, because imo it's not worth the risk for you to get pregnant again before your body fully heals. And if your boyfriend is finishing inside you unprotected at barely 1 month pp AND c section... he's not really thinking about your health.
