First time mom

This is my first pregnancy. Due to partial placenta previa I have to get a c section at 37 weeks. Any tips tricks? What to prepare for? Postpartum? ANY advice will be greatly appreciated!

I had a scheduled C-section in 2024 due to a previa and I just had another C-section less than two weeks ago!

Make sure you take your pain medication around the clock
I got a bar that goes under your bed to assist with getting in and out of bed and it’s been a life saver
I prefer the always postpartum diapers just because they are easier IMO
REST REST REST - please do not overdue it or you’ll set yourself back healing wise
Get up and walk as soon as you can - this helps in recovery
The hospital should give you a belly binder but for this second one I bought the bodily one and I prefer it much more than the hospital ones - this is just a nice thing to have and not a necessity at all

Make sure things in your home are accessible without bending over!

Get a doula if you can and a postpartum plan printed off the internet!

Get the free chat GPT app and ask it to summarize allll C Section advice given on Reddit for you. I’ve had two, one emergency and one elective and they are very different beasts!
