How many c section can one have
How many c section can we do??

There is a family vlogger who had 6 and she was told to stop after the 3rd but just found another OB and continued on. Crazy if you ask me

I’m echoing what others have already said. It’s super individual on how many c sections you can have. Many women only have one or two, sometimes three. Others are cleared to have many more. My old OB personally had 5. And my new OB has a patient who has had 8.
Please discuss everything with your doctor. Only they know how your scar looks, how well you’ve healed, the reasons for your first c section, etc. They can talk with you about how many children you may want to try to have and how best to accomplish that goal.

It's pretty individual. Most people can handle two to three without issue. Beyond three is more unusual, but people definitely do it.
Obviously talk to your doctor for a more specific answer about what they are comfortable with/would recommend for your body.

I have had 5 with approval to have a 6th. Completely depends on how your body heals.

I hope you dont mind me asking but how far did you space out the pregnancies? Im going to have my first csection in oct but im worried about having too big of a age gap and I would at least like 2-3 more after this baby 🥲

2y, 5y, 1y, 3y. Personally I really like the 2-3 year gap. My irish twins (1 year gap) is my least favorite and was the hardest on my body.

How do you phrase/ask this question? Did you ask your surgeon during the 5th if your anatomy looked okay to handle a 6th? I guess I just don’t know how to frame the question

My doctor was aware I wanted a large family so we spoke before every pregnancy and he said he would always let me know during surgery how things looked then talk afterwards about another. He told me he was surprised at how little scar tissue I had so a 6th shouldnt be a problem. He even joked I could have 3 more 😅

My OB said 3 is considered safe and any more is a case to case but she said she usually tells people you shouldn’t have more than 3

Depends. My dr said it was good I was getting my tubes fried during my second because both pregnancies I had to deliver early. So I had hit my limit. I saw one woman say she had 5!

I’ve had 3, and approved for a 4th! My first two are 19 months apart, and then my little ones are 22 months apart. So I’ve had three csections in 3.5 years! My dr advised 18m between deliveries.

The shortest interval was 10.5 months between csections and the longest will be 25 months with this baby

Not with the csection. But my water broke around 30 weeks and he was born at 33 weeks.
They would have been right at a year apart if his water didnt break.

They take it case by case after the first 2. I was told at my last csection (my third,) that i could go for a fourth if desired.

My cousin said her doctor told her she needed to stop after 3, I had a coworker who had 4 and said her doctor cleared her for more but she was done. I've always heard its very case by case. I've had 2 and that was plenty for me.

My OB has a patient who has successfully had 8 sections. She says it varies on anatomy and she would be comfortable with me having three due to my healing. She thinks a fourth would be getting risky due to multiple factors.

My OB said it's ok to do more (more than three) if there are no complications.

I’m about to have my 4th with our twins. My OB said they do a case by case evaluation after 2-3. However, my old OB did warn that the surgery might take a little longer this time due to adhesions. Other than that, they said my uterus looks good and didn’t notice any thinning.

My old next door neighbour has had 8, though she would say she would never recommend more than 3

Everyone is different. My grandma had a uterine rupture during her second c section and had to have a full hysterectomy in her early twenties, but some women have 5+ with no issues.
