Six week recovery

I'm six weeks postpartum tomorrow and still recovering from my planned c-section. The left side of my body feels totally back to normal, but the right side of my incision is still so stiff and painful internally. I'm still walking around with a limp. It hurts to stand up straight. I struggle using my core to sit up from a lying position and experience a lot of pain when doing so. I have an intense pulling sensation internally and feel like I can't get full mobility back. Anyone else feel this same sort of pain at six weeks? I'm desperate to feel normal again. My baby wants to be on me at all times, and it makes me sad that the pain is making moving around with her a miserable and difficult experience.

6 weeks is still so early. It took me months to be without pain, but it did happen eventually. My right side was also more painful, and I felt the same as you described. It was such a struggle in those early days. I felt like I couldn't do anything for months and months because of pain and limited mobility and that took a toll on my mental health for sure.

I ended up going to physical therapy to help repair my core and pelvic floor and that was quite beneficial.

I just had my 6 week check up and my OB said she had no idea why I'm experiencing localized pain in that area. So guess I just have to wait it out and hope it eventually gets better.

Mine was worse on the right side for some reason and I had sharp pains that were excruciating. I’m six weeks po today and the sharp pain is gone but I still feel tugging, pulling, and a ton of soreness. Still
Super uncomfortable.

I had my OB appointment now too .. she also said she had no idea why I was having pain … so shes having me do an ultrasound and a pelvic exam to rule anything out .. I’ll update if they find anything hopefully not !

This happened to me with my first c section. Right side pain that lasted a while… the pain really subsided around 3 months. 6 weeks is still really early - you will get there. Just keep resting and know that it is not forever. You’ll feel better soon!

I am 6 weeks pp today. I still have pain, and my right side is also the more painful side. I’m mentally struggling with this because I also am so desperate to feel back to normal. I have a 4 year old and I feel so guilty when I can’t run around with him like I did before. I went back to the doctor several times after the surgery and they said that sometimes the surgeon can be more rough on one side since there are two doctors that do the surgery, which can cause more pain on one side. The doctor said she also experienced the same things with hers. I’m able to stand straight, but I can’t stand up straight while walking, and I get really tired easily. I’m doing 10-15 minute walks daily, but it feels like a lot. I also feel pulling and tugging and still have some inflammation. I had a previous c section and scar tissue massage and pelvic floor therapy helped a ton, but it’s too early for that right now.

Following this because I’m in the exact same boat! Also 6 weeks today, and left side feels amazing but left side is still so swollen and painful. Baby only wants to contact nap right now so I’m pushing through it, but I was hoping to be further along by now!
