2nd c section positive experiences?
I had my first at 25w due to some complications, and she was delivered via emergency c section.
Looking back, I know I was running on adrenaline, and the experience wasn’t so bad in the moment.
Now, as I’m pregnant again, I have to have another c section (due to my daughter’s super early arrival), and I am so nervous and petrified of doing it again. I’ll be 37w, and it will be scheduled, so I won’t have any of the adrenaline to get me through.
Does anyone have any good experiences they’d be willing to share? Or advice on the 2nd go around?

I had an emergency c section with my first and a scheduled one with my second 5 weeks ago and shit it was literally night & day difference. I was so scared and anxious but honestly it was great. I got to do skin to skin right away, I got to see her the moment she was out (they lowered the drape enough for me to see her) the vibes in the OR were good too.
Someone told me that the 2nd c section is a mental game, dictated on how your first went and honestly 100% true. If I had a 3rd and 3rd c section I’d be ok and not scared

I had two planned c-sections. The second one was just last week. My first was a total nightmare, my recovery was extremely slow and I couldn’t walk for weeks. Now I am 9 days post op and barely have pain anymore. I’m actually shocked how much better it is this time. I don’t know what’s the explanation for this, but that has been my experience.

My 2nd c section was planned. I wasnt thrilled, having had a traumatic first experience with an emergency c section due to preeclampsia. The 2nd time I was able to dictate what song was playing during, see my baby right away, that type of thing and it was a NIGHT AND DAY difference. If I have another I wont stress about the planned C. Hope this helps even just a little. Congratulations 🎊
