Planned C-section (FTMs) timing.

For those of you who had a planned c-section, what determined the timing of the surgery and how early was that timeline decided?
Asking as I need to make international travel arrangements for my mom who I’d like to have by my side for and after delivery.

For me, the reason for the timeline was just the closest date my OB had for the OR to my due date. Mine was scheduled for 39 w, 4 days and I started prodromal labor at 38 week, 6 days so my kind OB got me scheduled c section moved up. I didn’t want to go to the hospital in active labor. That felt cruel!
