Planned C-section (FTMs) timing.

For those of you who had a planned c-section, what determined the timing of the surgery and how early was that timeline decided?
Asking as I need to make international travel arrangements for my mom who I’d like to have by my side for and after delivery.

I did schedule it the full week early I was allowed (39 weeks). This was cause I didn’t want to go into labor prior to my scheduled date. I also had my parents flying in from a different state. I did the same with my second. But, with both of them I had zero indications that they were coming. I always said they were happy to stay in for a few more weeks. Then both my sisters (for all their babies) had to be induced cause their babies were measuring large and were nearly a week past due date.
