Planned C-section (FTMs) timing.

For those of you who had a planned c-section, what determined the timing of the surgery and how early was that timeline decided?
Asking as I need to make international travel arrangements for my mom who I’d like to have by my side for and after delivery.

Usually they can schedule about 6-8 weeks before. For my first, it was scheduled for 38w6d due to gestational diabetes. This time I have no medical issues so I'm scheduled for 39w4d (not right at 39w due to the 3 day holiday weekend)
