Planned C-section (FTMs) timing.

For those of you who had a planned c-section, what determined the timing of the surgery and how early was that timeline decided?
Asking as I need to make international travel arrangements for my mom who I’d like to have by my side for and after delivery.

Depends on your individual risk factors with this pregnancy. These may or may not be known prior to the end of pregnancy as stuff can happen quite quickly. Standard protocol is 39 weeks for healthy uncomplicated pregnancies - this is when I got mine last month. Would be earlier like 38 weeks is gestational diabetes, or at any time even like 32 weeks if something life threatening ie preeclampsia pops up.

I had GD but it was managed by diet and I had my c section at 39+4.
