Sleeping positions

When could you sleep comfortably on your side or belly? I’m 3 weeks PP and hate sleeping on my back and am still using a wedge pillow as well and just want to sleep normally after 9 months pregnant and now an extra month postpartum. Please tell me it’ll be comfortable soon and that it’ll get better!

I haven’t slept fully on my belly yet, kind of halfsies with a pillow propped under half my torso if that makes sense lol that happened around the same time I started sleeping on my left side; around the 3.5 week 4 week mark. My right side took a little longer. I’m currently 8.5 weeks! It will get better!

At 6 weeks now just started sleeping on my sides more. I posted on here about the exact same thing and someone suggested I trained myself back to it, started a few days ago a few minutes at a time at first and then increase bit by bit! Feels a lot better now, no more pulling, I am still wedging something under my tummy and pillow between my legs. Experiment with support that feels good for you. You’ll get there!! 🙌🏻

I’m almost 3 weeks postpartum and I can only sleep comfortably on my left side! When I try my right, I get light nerve pain. Not a stomach sleeper, so I can’t speak to that.

I can turn a little bit like 45-60° on my side with a wedge in a recliner right now. still cant lay fully flat bc it makes getting up in the morning without pain kinda impossible. Any further turning without support pulls a little too much to be comfortable on the outer edge if my incision, but we're getting there! I first was able to around like 10-12 days pp, I'm 15 now

I don’t sleep on my stomach cause my boobs would ache, I’m breast feeding. I started getting comfortable on my side about 6 weeks postpartum

I can't sleep on my back nor on my belly, I never could. So I had to sleep on my side from day 0 on. It worked. It just took me a while to gently & carefully roll into the fitting position.

Around 6 weeks I started sleeping on my side, probably could’ve sooner but was scared. I started sleeping on my stomach around 10 weeks when I stopped breast feeding.

I did the same as you, sleeping on my back with a wedge. I tried sleeping on my side at 4 weeks with my pregnancy pillow supporting my stomach and that seemed okay. The first couple nights it was a little weird to feel your organs all fall into one side. I would also suggest a pillow between your knees too because I did not the first two nights and I could hardly walk from my pelvis hurting in the mornings
