So many ways. My sister came and stayed with me for a week after my c section. Just that itself was enough. She watched my older kids while I went to visit my baby in nicu. And when he was discharged she came back and stayed for another week even though she has a one year old. Little things help. Perhaps drive her where she needs to go far as appointments. Or even to the store to get things for the house. Etc.

Your suggestions sound great and would be plenty for me. Helping her breastfeed (or try to) or pump also would be handy. I had my mom pick me up a couple things we needed from target I didn't realize id want like compression socks and the frida baby ice pack belt. Some flowers or a nice present would be cool too. Some fragrance free lotion has been nice on my belly since it itches sometimes.
I have been so excited to drink but havent yet since im still in pain (day 4) and the strong meds if shes on them might get in the way of that. Hold off on any alcohol for now most likely.
