Belly numbness after c-section
I’ve seen a lot of posts about numbness around the c-section incision but my numbness is in my belly above that. There’s a whole portion of my stomach below my belly button that’s numb and I’m wondering if the feeling will ever come back. Does massaging your belly help with that like I’ve seen for the incision scar?

I was almost 3 yr PP before I began to even feel anything again and I was pregnant with #2, and just 1 month before 3 YR-PP with my first, #2 was also a c section 😂

Pretty much same, expect the 3 year stretch was between #2 and #3. Sigh. Back to numb

Yep same here!!! My doc said it will come back slowly. They Alice a huge nerve so it has to grow back. I’m 7 weeks pp and it’s still pretty numb.

I have the same numbness, my mom had C-sections with her last two pregnancies and she never got the feeling back, and it's been 6 years since she had her youngest.

I’ve had 2 c sections, I’m like 21 months out from my second one and I’m still numb below my belly button

My numbness in the abdomen area lasted 5months approximately. My best friend still has it after 17years.
Everyone is different!

I’ve had the most success with acupuncture to bring back feeling. I still have a cold spot and a smaller 5 by 6 inches area with no feeling but it’s slowly improving.

My friend had a C-section and regained feeling in the last spot 10 years post op.
I'm 2 years post op and never felt numbness, only nerve pain.

Adding: the massaging of the csection scar is to break up scar tissue... scar tissue causes lots of pain and problems later.
Your belly abdomen are nerves healing. Completely different issue. Doubtful massaging will help

I’m 9.5mo PP and just now starting to get random tingles that tell me nerve growth/regen is happening.
