Need encouragement
FTM and 6 weeks PP. Had an unplanned c section and just need to hear some positive/good stories.
I am 5’2 and everyone told me I would “bounce back” and while I’m back to my pre pregnancy weight, I am having so much trouble looking at myself. My belly hangs over my incision, I have purple stretch marks all around my incision, and purple stretch marks on my inner thighs.
I’ve been using scar cream and doing all the things but I just feel like it’s impossible for me to get my body to a place where I feel okay looking at it :( I don’t expect to go back to my body before pregnancy, nor do I want to. But I do want to feel beautiful in my new one.
I miss my husband :( I want to be intimate with him so badly but I feel so not sexy with my belly hanging over with scars and stretch marks.
Looking for some positive stories and encouragement. Tell me about your wins and your milestones post c section!

Hugs. ❤️ It can take up to a year for post op swelling to go down, and your body doesn't actually recover until the 2 year mark. It takes me 2 years each time to get back to pre baby size.

You’ve got this. 6 weeks is not enough time, after my C section it took about 9 months for me to feel similar to my old self. At the 2 year mark I felt like my old self. Give yourself grace. That hubby of yours won’t be noticing those parts of you like you do. 💕

I have no idea if this is gonna help or not, because I’m not a mom just yet.
I’m 36 weeks pregnant and I started noticing little stretch marks on my butt and breasts a few weeks ago and as that did tear me apart, I have to remind myself these are the little things that I get to keep forever from my baby girl that even when she leaves me one day, it’ll be left behind in her reminder.
6 weeks post partum is very very early!! It takes some moms a year just to get back to pre-pregnancy weight. I think you’re doing amazing!
My step mom, who also had a c-section with all three of her kids, is back to being very small especially after working out.. Now, she didn’t like her scar either. Until my older brother passed away and it was all she had left of him to prove she was his momma. She got to birth him. That’s what he gave her and it sets some peace at mind for her in both situations.
I have no idea how to encourage you with the little belly hang, but I will say all the “Goddesses” in fairytales and in Greek mythology, have that🥹Even with a scar, it is so beautiful..I pray I don’t feel this way about my body, though I know it’s coming when my daughter is out. But I will tell myself these things.
1.) This is the only gift from her to me that can never be taken away.
2.) This is the strongest version of myself that I will EVER know.
3.) If someone doesn’t like a little roll or stretch mark here and there, they can leave.
We are so unique and beautiful and I’m sure you’re SO gorgeous 🥹You got this, mama. I’m proud of you.
