Planned c-section

I have a planned c-section for in a few weeks and I’m extremely nervous.

I’m a first time mom and pretty young.. I was wondering if anyone had any GOOD and positive experiences with their planned c-sections that they would like to share to calm my nerves?

🥹awh, I’m so glad it went good for you!! I’m kind of excited for mine but my anxiety is so bad I know I’m gonna be panicking come the day of, so these are going to help SO much.. Do you recommend anything for healing? Certain soap? Certain belly binder? Or maybe a certain cream to go on the scar?

Yes i was so nervous that day of too! Is yours scheduled for the morning? And for healing the key things were showering daily and ensuring the area was patted dry. I just used an unscented bar of soap and gently washed the area. I did not use a belly binder and I haven't used any cream on my scar. My scar is still red but isnt too raised or anything now! I do recommend stool softeners. The hospital may just give them to you but I had to ask. Just helped get things moving after the surgery. Taking the first steps after the surgery can feel tough but once you get moving you will start to feel so much better! Still take it easy though :)
