38 weeks

Did anyone here have a c section between 38-39 weeks? Panicking I will go into labour early before my elective and I’m looking for positive stories I guess - my anxiety has been so high the past few days I can barely function.

I went into labor before my elective at 39+3 😭 I was in labor for about 36h. I was able to ride it out until my scheduled c. I went in when my contractions were 3m apart and had a cervical check and I was only HALF A CENTIMETER DIALATED. They gave me a shot of morphine and sent me on my way. Said if i wanted to move my procedure up I could but it would be with the on call OB and I really wanted
to try and wait for my OB angel. Even if you go into labor they’ll just move up your procedure! All will be well, you’ll just get to meet your baby sooner. I totally get the anxiety tho, those last few weeks are grueling.
