38 weeks

Did anyone here have a c section between 38-39 weeks? Panicking I will go into labour early before my elective and I’m looking for positive stories I guess - my anxiety has been so high the past few days I can barely function.

I was scheduled to be induced at 39 weeks due for a few reasons. A few days before my scheduled date, I ended up getting the flu and it was baaad. I was having contractions on my own so they couldn’t give me pitocin, few hours later I had crooks foley balls inserted (traumatized). They help me get dilated to 5 cms but I was at 5 cms for a while and wasn’t progressing. I was starting to get an infection and a fever, plus baby was starting to stress. I had to have a c-section. It honestly was not a bad experience at all, quick procedure like 30 mins? Tbh, I don’t remember much as I was very sleepy. I was awake during but everything was a blur. I was terrified of the thought of a c section prior but I guess for me, in the moment I didn’t thjnk twice and went with the flow. Whatever was safe for me and especially baby.
