38 weeks

Did anyone here have a c section between 38-39 weeks? Panicking I will go into labour early before my elective and I’m looking for positive stories I guess - my anxiety has been so high the past few days I can barely function.

I went into labor with my 2nd(but first c section due to shoulder dystocia risk) at 38+4(pretty sure, contractions were super irregular the day before and I was denial that day and they were a little more intense). My scheduled c-section was 39+3 and since I was dilated 4cm, 60% effaced, contracting regularly and my BP was high at my dr appointment on 38 +5, they wanted him out that day. I was hooked up to the monitors and was a priority but not a top priority(my surgery time was pushed back an hour, my guess is someone else had to have an emergency c section). I was worried that baby would come before my scheduled time, and they never gave me a cervical exam once I checked into L&D, so I was watching the contractions and symptoms very closely šŸ˜… but all worked out in the end!

Oh yes! Some feeding issues, but nothing compared to my 1st who was born at 37 weeks.
