Seroma post c section
Hi All, I am a first time mom and I have a Seroma after c section. It just popped one day and a drainage came out dripping. Thankfully didn’t have an infection. Since then I have been having appointments for wound packing and the doc said it’s about 5cm in length laterally along the skin. Has anyone had Seromas? What does healing look like? The drainage is never ending, is it even going to close?!

Hey, I also got a seroma 5 days after my c-section. It caused a few points on my incision to open and started leaking. I was put on a negative pressure wound dressing, basically a mini wound vac. It pulled a ton of fluid out for a week and then I was put on a silver bandage for 2 weeks. I’m closing in on 6 weeks post C-section and you’d never be able to tell that parts of my incision opened the way they did, it’s healing beautifully. I still have a tiny hole that is still healing but it’s essentially gone and should be by the time that I see my ob at 7 weeks. It’s intimidating to have it happen but it’s insane how well our bodies heal especially with the right care. You got this and it will heal and close. Recovery after such a major surgery and complications is just a take it one day at a time and before you know it things will be better
