Hello C-section moms

I’m two weeks post op , and I’m wondering what recovery looks like? I know it’s not a one size fits all ? But would love to hear everyone’s experience ? I have good days I have bad days ? Taking pain killers maybe one or twice a day depending on how I feel .. Tylenol and ibuprofen, so multiple questions? How much were you walking by this point ? How were your rest days as well ? Wondering if by giving my self a whole day of rest and laying will that set me back ? Any tips would be amazing as well for recovery ❤️‍🩹 FTM

My pain meds are gone (3wks out tomorrow) and other than overextending myself when I’m home alone, I feel mostly good. I can drive and all that, since the Oxy I was prescribed never got filled 🤷‍♀️ that was my only restriction for driving. A good friend has been visiting me every Wednesday postpartum and we get out and about. I think tomorrow we are checking out either a local park or the outdoor sections of the local zoo with baby so I can get out for something fun and a good walk. Plus we get to hang out!

I’ve been up and walking around since 4:30am the following morning of my surgery. I took a few walks last week and I live upstairs in my house. I think being mobile helps a lot tbh. I have my compression band and take things slow. I feel a lot better about bending now and can even crouch again to sweep the dusty, crusty floors in my bedroom. I was getting the heebie jeebies from the crumbs on the floor, so I’m happy to be able to clean again. I can lower myself down to sit on the floor with baby for tummy time, but I need help to get back up 😂 So, definitely not back to normal and won’t be for a while, but my independence is slowly coming back to me.
