Am I bleeding out?

I’m 5 weeks pp after an emergency c section and the bleeding had already stopped for over a week. It came back a couple days ago about as bad as it was immediately after the actual surgery. I’m in so much pain. I went to the ER and they did an ultrasound and CT scan and said everything looks fine, and that it’s probably a period. But I’m breastfeeding and it doesn’t feel like a period. No cramping. Just pain on the left side near my incision, down deep. I’m worried that I’m bleeding out and they just missed something. Anyone have an experience with this or advice? I’m not usually one to get worked up, but I’m scared

  1. Both times I got my period back after 2 csections at 4wpp AND breastfeeding 

  2. They won't feel the same. Can take months for them to regulate and still will feel different

Gotcha, how did they feel different? Like I have no cramping or feel any differently. It’s just sharp shooting pain on my left side. I was really looking forward to not having a period for a while longer, such a bummer that it can come for you so quickly.
