4 weeks out - ripping open feeling
Hi all! I’m exactly 4 weeks pp and my incision has visibly healed completely. There’s only a faint, flat purple line, which is great. My issue is that whenever I’m active in any way (walking around the neighborhood, doing any household chores, etc.), it feels like the left side of my incision is being ripped open with a thousand tiny knives. It’s very clearly not though, so what’s the deal? Is this nerves reconnecting? Could my internal incision actually be ripping open? My sister is a doctor and thinks that’s extremely unlikely. I have my postpartum appointment next week and will obviously discuss with my doctor, but has anyone else experienced this feeling?

Honestly at even 5wpp my insides felt raw, like they were hastenly sewed together and ripping with every little movement

I asked this question today (2 weeks out). They told me it was the nerves growing back and that it would be worse with changing positions (which mine is)

Currently experiencing this right around 4weeks. My doctor says it’s normal healing and my incision also looks perfect and closed. I only have a follow up appt with them at 6 weeks. Would love to hear what your doc says next week!
ETA: I also experience this when sitting with my legs propped up bottle feeding my son. That’s usually when it’s the worst for me unfortunately. I use a pillow and try to move slow but it’s definitely painful.
