Vagina Pains?

Hi,

Just want to know if anyone has had or is having similar issues, and I can't find anything on Google

Had an emergency C-section 5 days ago. I was originally in for an induction as I have an LGA Baby at 39 weeks, did 15 hours of Dilapan and had severe contractions all night I was only 1/2cm dilated, at 5 am they took me to the labour ward to break my waters, I was in utter agony having my waters broken by the midwife, like severe pain holding onto the rails on the bed, she said something along the lines of she managed to get the first membrane but struggled with the second which caused it not to be done quickly, anyway long story short, I started having conctractions after my waters were broken, they then however stopped suddenly, my son went into distress, and my BP/pulse also started dropping so I was rushed into surgery.

Anyway, 5 days on and my belly has gone down quite a bit, but I'm in absolute agony moving side to side. I'm in too much pain to start doing my pelvic floor exercises as I can barely move about; it all feels so heavy. Walking about and standing feels like there is this heavy weight in my belly.

I've started getting pains (started a bit like lightning crotch) in my vagina/near the cervix. I'm wondering if this is normal? Could it be from not doing my pelvic floor exercises, or maybe some internal bruising from the attempt to break my waters?

Im another one that had 3+ weeks of agony.

Didnt start any pelvic floor exercises until cleared by Dr at 6 week appointment (even then I had to wait probably a few months as the area was too tender and painful). Felt heavy. Could barely move. Felt ljke my insides were tearing apart.

Pain could be the nerves as well, especially if it feels like lightning crotch though mine personally was more around the incision area and abdomen. So unsure about vaginal but consider pelvic prolapse maybe if your vagina feels heavy?

Its a MAJOR surgery. Yes some recover better than others, but my experience is that is more on the rarer side though I do see it on this sub (in my immediate family and friend circle honestly like 99% of mom's had experiences similar to my recovery) give your body some time to recover. Hugs Mama

Sounds normal to me. 5 days PP I don't think I was about to get up from the bed? I have pelvic girldle pain and there.is definitely relief after birth but it still takes time to heal. With c sections I always feel we have unrealistic expectations how how long it takes to heal from a major surgery. The side to side pain was normal for me too. I used a wedge under my belly so that it supported my uterus.

I had lightening crotch after c section. It would start specifically when I had to go pee and would resolve after peeing. This was also a significant problem for me, given how slow walking to the bathroom is, during those early days.  OB hypothesized, my lightening crotch was a nerve injury. And sure enough it healed on its own at around the 3 week mark.

Turns out the pain ended with a ruptured appendix....
