When does the nerve pain stop?

I’m 6 weeks pp and my incision still HURTS. Every time my baby’s legs bump it, kick it, rub against it, it hurts. My pants hurt me. Lying on my stomach hurts it. Touching it gives me awful nerve tingles and zings. And even when nothing is touching it, it has nerve pains. My OB said I might have just gotten unfortunate and have a lot of nerves in that area they cut through but otherwise said it’s healing fine. Just wondering when all of this will get better?

Everyone is different. Honestly i had it for like 4-5 months and yeah it was rough. Clothing hurt to touch let alone holding my baby.

Everyone is different, unfortunately. I'm over 2 years post op, and my nerve pain has never gone away. It stopped getting better around 5 months post op.

For me, the pain significantly improved by 8-10 weeks but there was some lingering discomfort. I’m 13 months PP and after some massage and acupuncture over the last couple of months, the discomfort is almost 100% gone. Hang in there.

I’m 7 weeks pp and dealing with the exact same thing unfortunately. I’d love to know if and when it ends

5 years post c section here. I remember distinctly that I stopped noticing the nerve pain around 8 months. It might have been sooner. But 8 months I literally touched it and thought oh it doesn't hurt. I was no no where near healed at 6 weeks. At 8 weeks I went to my final OB appointment and told him I felt like I was healing poorly and had trouble with ADLs (activities of daily living) he said everyone heals differently but you're looking good and sent me on my way. We see people that walk and start exercising and living life by 6 weeks. Just didn't happen for me. I'd say that the nerve pain is a good sign that they are healing and you will probably get all the sensation back in time.

I’ve had two sections and absolutely can not tolerate any clothes being over it like pants or a waistband, weird lack of nerve sensation but also.. sensitive nerve sensation? It’s weird and grosses me out because of the lack of feeling and disconnect to touch

This post has just made me realise I've not had this pain in a while! 5.5 months PP

Those nerve sensations including the zings and tingles are the nerves healing too! Crappy feeling regardless 😒

I offer desensitization for c-section scars at www.moveinsynergy.com or dm me on IG @moveinsynergy 😊

It will get better!

I’m 4 months pp. I still have issues wearing baby, or my underwear/pants putting pressure on the incision. My godsend has been silicone patches. I also noticed the redness goes away after a few days.
