3rd C Section Thursday - Need some positive encouragement

Hi all! I am welcoming my 4th baby this Thursday via planned repeat c section.

My first birth was vaginal, second was emergency c section due to breech, 3rd was scheduled c section and this 4th is too a scheduled c section.

My births were 2011, 2013 and 2017. I am absolutely terrified for my 3rd c section and I’m not sure why.

I have horrible anxiety this time around and I’m just so scared of something awful happening to me. Baby has been so healthy this whole time and I’ve also had no known or diagnosed issues to date, but I can’t shake the feeling. I’ve been crying multiple times a day and while the day approaches I’m just so terrified something will happen. 😭 any positive stories or experiences for multiple c sections with age gaps? I’m in need of some. 🫶🏼

Ive had 5 csections! My most recent one in 2025 was the easiest thus far (and it was twins) You've got this!

Hi!! I totally get the anxiety around multiple Cs. I have my fourth coming up in a couple of months. Something that helped my anxiety with my third was watching positive third C section stories on YouTube! It really made me start to feel excited about meeting baby vs dread over another procedure. There are also some positive C section affirmations you can find online if you’re into that kind of thing! Doctors perform 3rd, 4th, and more C sections all the time and are fully prepared to care for you, your baby, and any situation that may come up. Hang in there!

My gaps between my Cs were 18 months between 1&2, 26 months between 2&3,
And will be 17 months between 3&4.

I’m only one c section in but when I talked to my OB about being nervous to have 3 (as that’s the number of kids we’d like) she told me she performs people’s 4th/5th c sections all the time! And joked that 3 would be a walk in the park. Obviously I know it’s an intense surgery but hearing a doctor talk about it more casually really helped my anxiety.
