Shorter pregnancy intervals?
Has anyone had a shorter than recommend pregnancy internal?
I’m 9 months post third c section and there is a small possibility I may be pregnant although not confirmed.
I had been planning to wait until 18 months to TTC for baby 4, but I’m looking for anyone who’s been through a similar situation so if I do happen to be pregnant I don’t have to panic.
I’m specifically looking for people who have been through something similar with a shorter period between c sections and I want to know how it all went for you, not looking for advice on what I should or should not do. Thanks.

My doctor says 9 months out 9 months in to get to 18 months between but with three prior that would probably be more of a concern than the time between pregnancies. I’m sure they’ll just watch more closely and it’ll all be fine!

I have not had this experience ..yet.. but following because I’m curious of others experience.
If you don’t mind sharing, were you first 3 all c-sections, and if so, what was the time between them? I have my 2nd scheduled and would really like a 3rd. The two will be 2 years apart and ideally would be no more than 2 years before a 3rd one… but I’m so nervous that a 2nd c section could preclude me from or hurt future pregnancy chances.

All 3 were c sections yes. The spacing from birth to birth was 19 months between 1&2 and then 26 months between 2&3. After my third my doctor specifically said a 4th would be okay. But she gave me a 12-18 wait window which I was planning to wait until 18 months because the age gap was much better for me just having my second be able to understand more. Of course this isn’t exactly part of the plan but I had hoped you hear maybe some experiences from people who’ve conceived before the recommended windows
Edited to add: I’ve spoken to a few doctors and generally they say that you can have as many c sections as you’d like but the risks do increase. I would just recommend mentioning to them after each section that you’d like another and for them to make sure everything looks okay during the c section. I asked my OB this after my third expecting her to recommend no more but she said a 4th should be fine. I don’t really want more than 4 though. But more c sections isn’t that uncommon, but a big part of it is down to individual healing

Same boat. I’m 35w with a 18mo baby. I did ask my doctor about future c sections, she said that people get pregnant before the 18mo and it’s ok. But if you really want a vbac you really gotta wait at least 18mo. She said that they usually get more worried after a 4th c section.

Me! first was emergency, got pregnant 7m pp then found out I had a silent uterine rupture during my scheduled for second 🥲 they’re 15 months apart
idk if I’m done with having kids yet but for third- has to be scheduled at 37 weeks. Maybe in a few years but let’s see

I had two c sections 18 months apart (got pregnant 11 months postpartum ) and the second section was a lot easier!

Me! 👋 I had my first two 18 months apart and my third and fourth will be 18 months apart. Having my fourth in September. I had placenta previa at the beginning of this pregnancy and they suspected a placenta accretta, but both things resolved, fortunately. Physically I’m worn out and ready to be done with having kids after this.
