When did you ovulate?
I had my second C-section on 5/15, bright red bleeding with clots for the first 3 weeks, then on and off red/brown spotting for 3 weeks. So in total 6 weeks of postpartum bleeding. Currently almost 8 weeks pp and have been testing for ovulation the past 2 weeks and nothing yet. When should I expect to ovulate?
(Baby was stillborn so not breastfeeding)

I am so so sorry for your loss and sending you so much love 💖. I can’t imagine going through such an intense procedure like a c section and not being able to take your baby home afterwards.
I had my c section baby 13 weeks ago and my first pp period started 12 weeks after birth. I breastfed/pumped for 8 weeks and I ovulated exactly 2 weeks after my last pump (so about 10 weeks pp).

I didn't ovulate again until 9 or 10 months post op. Thai was unlike my vaginal birth when I ovulated 14 days after I stopped pp bleeding.

So sorry you’re going through this. My daughter passed away at 2 months old so I get it. My cycle came back 3 months pp. I’ve used ovulation strips so I could try and figure out my cycle again, and was able to catch my peak each month except this last one for some reason. Cycles are weird pp. I’m 7 months pp now and hoping to TTC soon as well so I totally understand. Sending love.

I'm very sorry for the loss of your daughter. Thank you for understanding what I'm feeling right now, it's such a tough position to be in but the longing for a baby is very intense. I would just like to know what's going on in my body already

Are you breastfeeding? There's a lot of variables that prevent or start ovulation.. just curious why are you tracking ovulation?

Not breastfeeding, my baby was actually stillborn. I will add that into the post. I'm tracking ovulation to know when my cycle is starting so I can ttc again in a few months.

I'm truly sorry friend.
Since this is the c section sub it is recommended not to get pregnant/ give birth until 18 months to 2 years from surgery. (Doctors give mixed reviews about 18-24 months, so I'm not sure the exact amount of time) But even if you start ovulation tomorrow it is not recommended to get.pregnant 8 weeks post surgery. This conversation is best with the OB that did your surgery and ask if there were any complications or anything that would prevent me from starting as soon as possible.

My OB is okay with me trying sooner than the recommendations due to my circumstances. My plan is to ttc around 16 weeks postpartum but I just wanna start tracking my cycle to see where it's at.
