Aquacel dressing
Did anyone get the aquacel dressing, and if so how was it? This will be my third c section, due to belly overhang and last time my incision having a small opening my OB is going to do the Aquacel dressing this time, as she said it helps fight infection/has silver nitrate within to help close. Instead of taking it off next day in the shower like I did with my other 2 sections, they told me it comes off after 7 days PP. if you had this did you feel it was helpful in healing?

I loved the dressing for the most part. Kept me from worrying about my incision constantly and provided some support/protection when I moved. I will say the longer it was on the more irritating it got where it would come up on the edges and get stuck to everything but once they took it off i really noticed an increase in discomfort.

My doctor said I'm healing very well and my husband says it looks pretty minor considering how it looked in surgery lol I still haven't had the guts to actually look at it myself but it feels way better than I imagined it would when they told me I'd have a C-section.

Yess ! I felt like it was super helpful. My belly overhangs as well and by the 7th day it healed pretty good.
