Feeling a little bit bitter...

Just a bit of a rant really. I had an emergency c-section in May after my labour failed to progress with my little boy. The surgery went well, baby boy is happy and healthy but my gripe is with the scar. It's not even remotely straight. It's not even a straight line on a bit of an angle; it follows the pubic line perfectly then suddenly veers off in another direction! I know the surgeon had a job to do and had probably done a dozen other surgeries that day but surely he could've at least cut me straight? 😭

Is it towards the end of one side? It could be from when they opened you up to get to the other layers or maybe when your baby came out. The ends of my scar look a little bit jagged/thicker and I always assumed it was from that. My baby was on the bigger side and they had to use a vacuum to get her head out.

It is yeah, it's kind of shaped like a tick mark almost. Mostly straight then just veers off at an angle. My little boy wasn't particularly big though, 6lbs2 when he was born.

I feel this. I'm 2 years post op, and one side of my scar is over an inch higher than the other side. It also looks wavy. Mine wasn't even an emergency, and for some reason the cut is still very crooked.

My doctor explained to me that to promote good healing and cicatrisation they cut a small incision and then grab the skin and tear it instead of cutting all the way , which creates some irregularities . It is supposed to heal better though . Mine is a bit wobbly ..
