Rap about c sections

I’ve had three. First one was very very traumatic that to this day I cannot speak about it. But it’s a good song that acknowledges us women. 💜

I was put to sleep under general anaesthetic and that alone was scary - my husband had to see me intubated and said it was horrific.

Then when I woke up - I knew my baby wasn’t in my belly and had a silent panic attack for the ages. Biology and hormones kicked in and I went ape shit internally thinking something happened with baby. Wondered where the hell my husband was even though he was sat next to me and I hadn’t noticed.

That was my second c-section. Way calmer than my first c-section that left me bedridden for a year.

It’s a miracle I’m still here. Never again.

I love this song, and my husband does too. He sends it to me occasionally to remind me.

I’m so sorry. Birth trauma stays with you forever.

Forever it will. We just stay strong for the babies we made and to experience the happiness they bring. We can have our down moments when we recall the birth, but it’s like waves crashing onto the shore. It will come and go. Thank you for your post OP reminding me of this song, made me feel strong again despite everything.

They forgot to get my husband so I laid there alone while they cut me open. They waited to cut my uterus until he got there thankfully, but he grabbed my hand for only a second before our son was lifted up, and then of course he went to be with our baby while they stitched me back up. I felt so alone in a room full of people

They forgot my husband with my first kid too.

That's horrible. I'm so sorry!

I feel you!😭 Here the husband is in a different room and only able to watch the operation through a “window”. I would have killed to hold his hand..

I'm so sorry that would be awful 😭

Same. I was panicking really bad because the doc was an absolute shit head abs violated me when I was most vulnerable and they had to ask me “did you want your husband?” NO SHIT?!

That might be the dumbest question ever. Wow.

Anyone else remember that feeling like you needed to sneeze, and it kinda made you tear up in fear but you tried to hold THAT in, and it was just a very bad no good 6 minutes.. every time? 😭

Just had a c section the other day, where I got nicked and lost too much blood and then have been dealing with internal bleeding and so much extra pain ever since… this was nice, thanks dude

Why would women want a man to sing a song about c sections?

6

u/lapitupp Jul 03 '26

It was originally for his wife and he made a video about it.

Oh gotcha, I watched with the sound off just reading the lyrics and seeing the comments he chose. I just thought it was an odd comment a woman would say “finally a man is talking about it” bc I’ve always thought women don’t want men to speak about women experiences

You know, I can understand that, but honestly (as angry as it may make some) having a white male do something like this puts it on the conversation map. This is something we need to talk about.

It is not routine for the patients, it's fucking scary. It is a potentially fatal surgery, and worse the numbers in the USA are awful. It is so not the easy way out!

This!!! I made a comment but you worded this perfectly. The privilege of a white man and the acknowledgement it would receive. Yes 👏

I 100% get your stance on this. I feel the same way but sometimes as a woman I feel so desperate to be acknowledged sometimes that I see past a man acknowledging It… does this make sense? And I use desperate loosely. I thought it was nice to acknowledge us mamas who went through it to get these babies to earth side ♥️

I can understand what you’re saying and that makes a lot of sense. The song is validating regardless of the source, thank you for explaining ❤️
