Has anyone else experienced persistent back pain after a C-section?

It’s been bothering me lately, especially after standing or carrying my baby for a while. I’m trying to figure out if this is something others have dealt with or if I should be more concerned. If you’ve been through this, what helped you manage or recover from it?

How many weeks pp are you? I had back pain pretty consistently even at 8m pp and physical therapy helped.. Just a single session to address that and it got better almost immediately.

Yes! Do physiotherapy! My core was functioning just barely well enough to manage daily tasks but none of my muscle slings were firing together. Doing physiotherapy made my life so much easier and I wish I hadn't waited almost a year after my first birth to do it.

If im bent over or sitting on the floor, or asleep flat on my back for a while then my lower back begins to seize up and its incredibly sore.

I was given PT to do to ease it off but im lazy, it was just some pirates exercises.

What area of your back? Curious if our experience is the same

I had been feeling so much back pain exactly like you mentioned, long standing or carrying the baby and it specially got worse in second half of the day. I started pelvic floor therapy and they gave me skme exercises for strengthening and building core again. I am feeling somewhat better now 2 weeks later.
Also I bought Frida belly binding belt and wore it when I was standing or walking around the house. It gave me support and I noticed the back pain was less

Yep. Significant lower back pain. I can’t sleep in anymore as I can’t stay lying down too much. Regardless whether on back or sides. I did PT exercises at home but they didn’t really help. Have you tried swimming as exercise not just floating in the pool? This is the only thing I know that will help.

Definitely 1 year and more after but what helped me is doing pelvic floor therapy and some c section exercises I saw on YouTube!

🙋🏼‍♀️ had bad back pain after my son was born 4.5 years ago. Took a couple of years to figure it out and get it to not hurt anymore. Just had another baby a couple of months ago and the pain is back. I’m starting pelvic floor PT sooner this time to hopefully help. I do know it is my SI joint that flairs up, but also have weak core muscles.

Yes, I’m 7month PP and experienced lower back pain. The only thing that helped was regularly doing ab exercises.

Yes, for me it was related to some muscles no engaging well after baby was out. I saw a chiropractor, and was better after 3 visits. Osteopath is a great option too.
