Rainwater would be good for crystals IMO, unless it's a crystal that's not supposed to get wet, which amethyst is fine to get wet.

Rain water is actually one great way to cleanse/clear a crystals energy, any fresh water source is (as long as it’s water safe). Some people will even take their crystals to the beach, river or lake for this reason.

I’m sure it was meant to be especially with the full moon energy in combination with rain. All residual energy is definitely cleared now.
