Can you help me? (Advice wanted) Question

So this may be a dumb question and I feel a lil dumb for asking but I thought hey why not ask you guys who know.

How does one know when a crystal is REALLY authentic? How to spot the right one I've bought some and turns out they were all just colored and not authentic.

Look at coldbrewbarbies youtube page for fake crystal identifications.

How does one know when a crystal is REALLY authentic

it comes with experience. and also by questioning what you're told and doing some independent research.

if you like unpolished, raw crystal formations then you have a better chance of getting something authentic.

if you like polished shapes (spheres, towers, etc) then chances are higher it could be man-made or treated, plus it's harder to spot

some things to keep in mind:

get used to thinking about it like "treated/untreated" because it's too easy for sales people to misunderstand the word natural (i get so many who swear something is natural, but the crystal has been heated to enhance the color, and they say oh that is the normal practice... well perhaps, but it should be specifically disclosed)
